Job Description
The purpose of the Texas 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC), Cycle 9, grant is to create community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities for children, particularly students who attend high-need, high-poverty, low-performing schools, to meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects.


ESC Region 12 has an ACE Cycle 9 Site Coordinator position open at Kerens ISD.


The ACE (Afterschool Centers for Education) Site Coordinator's job would include, but not limited to the following:

  • Organize and work closely with school administration to implement ACE program ensuring highquality program services and support to enrolled students that meet the Texas ACE Program objectives
  • Facilitate communication with campus staff to create a link between the school-day and ACE program objectives
  • Assure regular student participation, as defined by program requirements, by monitoring attendance, recruitment, taking steps to ensure that regular student counts are met or exceeded and students are retained
  • Coordinate data entry and evaluation of the program at the center
  • Organize supplies, materials, equipment, and transportation for the center
  • Recruit, train, and develop frontline staff to achieve intended objectives
  • Lead and facilitate on-going planning efforts including community outreach, accessing resources and recruiting volunteers
  • Attend all required meetings, conferences, and training

 

 

Education/Certification
• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
• Three or more years of successful classroom teaching experience or equivalent

  • ESC Region 12 provides monetary contributions up to $530 per month to use for employee/family healthcare and supplemental benefits.
  • An employee earns state personal and sick leave.
