Job Description

The purpose of the Texas 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC), Cycle 12, grant is to create community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities for children, particularly students who attend high-need, high-poverty, low-performing schools, to meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects. The ACE (Afterschool Centers for Education) Site Coordinator's job would include, but not be limited to, the following. 

  • Coordinate all activities of the ACE Program with grantee partners
  • Promote ACE goals and objectives to students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Initiate methods for improving the implementation of the ACE goals and objectives at the campus level.
  • Develop and support ACE parent initiatives at the campus level.
  • Meet with teachers and administration regularly to monitor students and academic initiatives.
  • Monitor and report the progress of ACE objectives to district and regional personnel.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate afterschool staff.
  • Perform budgetary, record-keeping, and data management requirements of the ACE grant.
  • Maintain accurate and complete auditable documentation.
  • Perform other related ACE duties as assigned by the principal or project director.

Education/Certification

  • Master's in Education or Counseling preferred
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
  • Three or more years of successful classroom teaching experience or equivalent

  • ESC Region 12 provides monthly monetary contributions of up to $575 for employee/family healthcare and supplemental benefits.
