Job Description

The Student Software Services Analyst position will provide training and software assistance to ESC Region 12 contracted school districts and charter schools in the area of Student Information Systems (SIS) software and state-required coding and reporting. 

 

  • Provide technical/consultative support in Student Information Systems (SIS) operations and related software products to school districts, charters and campuses.  
  • Support and assist contracted LEAs in properly coding all PEIMS/TSDS and the state of Texas data reporting requirements. 
  • Deliver professional development.
  • Be a participating member of the statewide Texas Computer Cooperative supporting Ascender Student Software, including helpdesk, training, troubleshooting, testing, and research.  
  • Participate in ESC Region 12 and/or other professional development opportunities.
  • Some day travel is required.

 

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.

 

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Experience in support of Ascender Student Software, Skyward Student Software, or other applicable administrative school district SIS.
  • Express positive attitude, dependability, enthusiasm, and work as a team player; excel in people skills. 
  • Empathy and a service attitude. 
  • Expertise in applications software support, data administration/analysis, workshop presentation skills, and managing multiple tasks. 
  • Experience with PEIMS, TSDS, SAAH, and TEDS.
  • Experience with SIS Attendance, Grade Reporting, GPA, transcripts, and scheduling preferred. 
  • Facilitate, communicate, organize, problem solve; handle deadlines; demonstrate initiative in difficult situations.
  • Google and Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge. 
  • Training and presentation experience preferred.

  • ESC Region 12 provides monetary contributions up to $575 per month for employee/family healthcare and supplemental benefits.
